Yes, the order was approved months ago and it was supposed to hit port this past Tuesday the 15th but my rep still hasn't emailed me saying that it shows in the system as being on its way to the dealership.

I'm getting close to the finish line but it's definitely been a slow process.

Sounds like you are close. I have not been all that impressed with service/communication from the Lexus dealer on my order. Even after few email requests for information dealer doesn't respond at all.

I've felt the same way, I emailed them once every 2 weeks and once they gave me a port date, I've been emailing early part of the week and then on Friday. They just emailed me saying still no update which I assume means hasn't left the port or been cleared.

I don't understand why they didn't expect people on the east coast would want the RWD version.

It's amazing. I ordered min with Nav and Black interior without BSM or VGRS, never thought would take 4 months due to those small modifications.

I think the rear window shade is what is keeping my order at bay. I have found everything else I wanted on the car at another dealer. Exact specs, less the rear window shade. Oh well. The wait continues . . . . . .

I optioned rear power sun shade too but if I found a car with everything else I wanted, I would take that one! But for me it's only been ~25 days into what dealer said could be 3 months wait.

Check with your dealer again. The ship hit the port of NJ on the 16th. My car is now showing "Port" in the system. Yours should show the same if it was on that ship.

Does anyone know what it means when your order is "locked"? Does that mean Lexus is in process of building it?

I hear you. I've waited this long. Approaching the end of month 3. I may as well continue to wait to get what I want.

Talked with my rep today, apparently final assembly has taken place at port and now just waiting for a truck delivery date. I don't know how long that will be but sounds like I'm getting closer to the finish line.

I am screwed. Talked to my rep over the weekend. Since mine wasn't a special order they can't track it once it hits the port apparently since it is a dealer allotment. Got build date, ship date and then the ship it was on. I was able to track it to port. Now can't track it any longer and the dealer has an ETA of the end of Oct for it to arrive here in Houston.

Maybe end of this week or one day next week. Still can't complain it isn't 3 months like a special order.

Not bad at all, you'll have your car likely within the week... I ordered my UW/Red AWD IS350 in early August and won't be getting it until end of November likely. My car is a special order. Learned from my dealer today that the production date was October 15, estimated ship out date is October 24, gets into port November 6, then likely 2-3weeks to wait after that to get over here to WI.

Post some pictures after you get your car... :-)

I managed to find a dealership in the DC area that was waiting on 6 RWD IS-350s, all F-Sports about a month before my SO was set to arrive. One of them was the color combo I wanted and had ML, VGRS, and BSM which weren't on my SO. I said screw it, I want my car and those extras I don't mind paying for. Picked it up a week later.

What color combo did you go with? Apparently UW with Black interior is not a standard combo most dealers are getting.
