For those riding 20's

I'll be upgrading my wheels shortly but I can't decide if I want 19's or 20's.

I love the look of 20's but I'm a bit skeptical of the comfort and protection that a 30 series tire can provide.

I'm looking anyones opinion with real experience of these fitments.

I will be lowering it when springs come out but not looking to slam it.

i saw people riding on 20' it kinda big for me, idk wat ur type but 19' should be perfect! tires gonna be little expensive :(

19s everyday all day !!!!

amoney805 Oct 11, 2013 12:41 PM

What makes you say that juvi?

If your looking for ride comfort, 19's is the way to go!!!

Stitch626 Oct 11, 2013 01:20 PM

19's for comfort but tires are ass expensive due to the odd size.

I like the look of both, but 20" have always been my favorite on the 2nd & 3rd gen IS.

I think it also has alot to do with what suspension and tires you used. I've bought some of the less expensive brands in the pass but recently I purchased some Nitto Invo and I love the ride and how quiet the tires are.

Honestly the difference between 19s and 20s are negligible...Sometimes 19s cost more since the tires are priced higher than 20s in some cases.

The IS grew 4 inches in length so 20s look good on it. I have yet to see 19s in person.

U should get the 19 x 8.5 front and 19 x 9.5 rear "LFA style wheels" so I know what it looks like on our cars.

19"s are perfect. With 20's you'll need a drop or it'll look like a 4x4. Only reason people go with 20's for the most part is because its cheaper in the long run.

But I think prices are going down. It only cost me around $900 to replace my g35 tires with some hankooks at the dealership.

They would look sick, especially if the Lexus center cap fits on these.

I'll contact the seller about weight and material. Probably cheap cast heavy wheels judging by the price.

No doubt they are heavy hunks of wheels. But might be an inexpensive wheel to get until next year.

20's look the best, but 19's are more functional overall IMO

Skinnyfats Oct 11, 2013 03:39 PM

I like the look of the 20's but I don't know if I want to go down to a 30 series tire. My commute is 16 miles one way which isn't bad at all. But on 30's eh dunno if I want to feel that much road.

I'm not a fan of the new IS but I love that white one on the new Vossens.
