You guys can't trade with CA dealers? The dealer in Pleasanton has a few 350 f sports sitting on the lot. One is white/red.

There appears to be a lot of F-sports available in San Diego luckily for me. I got the interior/exterior colors and packages I wanted as well. Purchased the car 2 weeks ago

Labor Day I went to the local Lexus dealer and test-drove a silver lining / rioja red IS 350 F sport, but wasn't ready to buy at the time. I went back that Friday to try and work out a deal, but it was sold and gone. There were no more 350 F Sports on the lot (but a several IS 250 F Sport models).

The dealer was helpful and sat down with me to review the IS 350 F Sport inventory they (Lexus) had coming into port at Long Beach for the month of September. They were able to intercept one of the same color scheme for me and I put down a $1,000 deposit to secure it. I was able to get $1,000 off MSRP without too much wrangling.

The car should arrive this Sunday or early next week.

Can't wait!

Ive already PM'd OP, but It's true we have a decent number of F-Sports here at Lexus of Pleasanton including Black/Silver/White on Red, but OP wants AWD which neither we nor California stock unless by special order. AWD is something that can be found in the Northwest and Northeast

Doubt Texas dealers are going to trade with Cali dealers. Problem is this is truck country and the Lexus dealers are usually medium sized to small around here.

I'm surprised there still aren't much discount from MSRP. I got 2k off on 4th of July plus another 1k off from ride and drive rebate.

Ain't this the truth. My dealer recently just purchased 40 ES300h's from several Texas Lexus dealers (Sewell and Westside iirc), and we sold off most of our GX's to them

I wish I could use the RWD but with the winters in MN I think I'll be regretting it. Lexus loaded RWD model by giving it 8 speed tranny, VGRS & Power Tilt which none of these are available on AWD yet AWD costs $1500 more.

funny enough, on the 2IS Forum for years owners of RWD in winter/snow climates have said a set of dedicated snow tires performs better with RWD than all season tires on a AWD model

Perhaps I could just get the RWD and use the money I save to get set of rims and snow tires.

I found a dealer in CA that will give a good deal on the car thanks to IS350S2K & Hoovey2411 but she thinks shipping would be $1000 - $1500 which would ruin this deal. Anyone know of any quality shippers that are cheaper?

It took me one week from the time I saw the IS350 fsport (nebula gray/rioja red) on the lot that I desired to the moment I actually signed the papers and purchased the car. They let me hold the car for 3 days. I am just so thankful that they didn't sell the car while I continued to do more research during the remaining 4 days. There wasn't another model with my exact specifications at the time within a 100-mile radius!

This article states Lexus IS sales increased 87%!
This increase in demand probably isn't helping availability and price negotiations especially if Lexus didn't expect this and didn't have enough supply in some parts of the country.

Sales surged 87 percent for Lexus’s new IS sedan and 32 percent for its RX sport-utility vehicle.
