Previously, I mentioned that the album cover on the MP3s wasn't displaying properly, and someone on the forum told me to turn off Gracenote under audio settings for which I did that. However, this gracenote thing just doesn't go away, and I'm getting very annoyed. I already made sure that all album covers displayed properly on my ipad. Does the album cover image have to be certain pixels or formats? Can I delete the gracenote database stored in my car once and for all?

 

We GS owners regularly experience "drop outs" where the iPod just stops working and we have to reboot it. I've been told that I can alleviate this by setting my iPod to where it will no longer download album covers. Do you think that might help? If so, do it from your iPod menu. I think Gracenote offers you the capability of downloading album covers. I could be wrong, but it might be worth a try.

 

You may have to turn gracenote off by source. I've only had my phone hooked up, but when gracenote was on it displayed random photos of the artists. Once I turned it off, the cover art displayed properly.

 

I think we both said the same thing. Turn it off via your iPod rather than your car menu.

 

If you turn it off you won't be able to use voice command to search songs.
