Quote: Some dealers are complacent and just outright lazy. Sometimes they will take a car in, not be able t reproduce, and say it was fixed. Then there are the dealers who really do a good job. Unfortunately, a bad dealer usually can't be fixed quickly because the issue usually systems from the top and goes down. A change in staff is what's required.
Agreed. same thing happened to my Dealer as well. but after the 3rd visit, they managed to replicate it as i took their mechanics out for a long drive to where i always can replicate.

they fixed it!

so be persistent!

Quote: I find this suspicious, I had a rattle in my seat. Dealer heard it and had engineers come from corporate to record it so that it could be eliminated from the manufacturing process (if it was endemic to the process) and then they went ahead and fixed it.

You're claiming 3 rattles and no fix? What's really going on?
At first, i went there because i heard a noise [ plastic rubs against the rear window glass]. i couldn't pinpoint where exactly it comes from. The adviser heard it but there was also a guy in charge of the department or something, he kept telling me that he didnt hear anything. So, i told him to have a technician guy to come along with me. That technician guy agreed that there is a noise at the rear door. So he claimed that he fixed it. The second trip, i knew where the noise comes from and i told 'em it was at the c-pillar. The adviser took a look at it then drove the car to the same technician guy to fix. they claimed they fixed it. The third time, they told me the same and i called 'em yesterday for another appointment but they said there are no "rattle" technician guys available on Monday and Sat. they're only available from tuesday to friday but the thing is that the adviser knew i work from Tues-Friday. That's my story. I just made another appointment with a different dealership. I hope they'll fix it.

Mine has a rattle coming from the dashboard area to the left of the steering wheel, near the A pillar. Less than 300 miles.... I only hear it if I'm driving without any music on though (ie waiting for the bluetooth audio to connect haha). So I can ignore it for now

Quote: oh thanks, but i always use the parking break so i dont think it's the issue , it's the rear door c-pillar.
What dealer in WA?

My understanding is is the dealer can't fix/no solution you are forwarded to Corporate and get a case number..

I'm having this issue. No idea exactly where the rattle's coming from, just know it's from the dash left of the steering wheel... seems to happen intermittently (maybe weather dependant?).

I'm afraid of wasting my time taking it to the dealership fearing they wont' be able to reproduce it.

The 3rd generation is known to rattle in numerous places throughout the cabin. It sucks

I am wondering if it is from the door top panel hitting the left vent, I wonder how we can replicate it, it seems so loose.

Search for a post by CorradoMR2, he has a fix for the rear driver side rattle that he says comes from the pillar and the exit handle above the rear door.
