Take your time. Remember to use the correct masking tapes and use more microfiber and towels to cover the area. Some masking tapes on (clean) rubber trim does mar the surface if leaving too long.

Also you need some right tools. If you are concerned about marring the interior, maybe you should consider wear a pair of latex gloves. I saw the technicians at dealership who work on the inside of my car before wear those blue latex gloves for some solid reasons and so I follow suit.

What size tires did you get? I have been wondering how wide you can go in the rears.

The cure for the pesky parking lot curb rash. I'm probably the first one with this sensor on IS.

Nice. Considering I came mm away from destroying my front bumper into a cement parking block, this might be a good idea. Is it a DIY project simple enough?

I'll risk sounding like a genuine dumb ***... How does it work and where do you install it? Is it for bumpers, wheels ... First I've heard of it, that's why I'm asking.

Normally you would install this somewhere on the grill but F-sport grill gave me no good spot to install it. I ended up mounting the sensor under the bumper but about 8" away so it won't get damage on steep drive way. It's quite easy except mounting the sensor is the most time consuming. I had to find a way to bring the cable back from underside. Go check out at curb-alert.com to see how it works. Basically it will beep when getting close to a curb, but the distance can be calibrated. I haven't finished installing yet, need to find a way thru firewall for sensor beep speaker.
