And it's another completely retarded omission by Lexus if the F-Sport indeed doesn't have this feature. All the supporting hardware is there. It's got the mirrors, it's got the gear selector and it's got motors in the mirror.

Don't worry, the mirrors tilt down when backing up. There's a bit of a trick, though. The mirror adjustment has a Left and Right button, and the downward tilt only works when the adjustment is in neutral -- not set to Left or Right. To get into the neutral setting, you have to push the button that's already set.

For example, if you adjust the Left mirror, just click the Left button again. The light will go out, it's in neutral, and the mirrors will tilt down when you put the car in reverse.

I've never heard of this at all.

But then again, I can count on one hand the number of times I ever had to worry about parking on a curb.

I adjust my reverse dipping wing mirrors so that I can actually see the rear tires, much more dipping than seen in this video:

How do you adjust the tilt? Could it be as easy as put the car in reverse and ajust the mirrors? I haven't tried

I put the car in reverse, then adjust my wing mirrors.
Everytime I put it into reverse, it remembers the last position set.

When I reverse my car, I use all three: rear vision mirror, rear view camera, and reverse dipping wing mirrors, to help reverse the car.
The reverse dipping wing mirrors give a different view, to the rear vision camera.

Actually the top package - F Sport Executive package, in Canada has the auto reverse mirror tilt-down feature (Lexus Canada bundles it with power rear sunshade, ML, BSM with RCTA, PCS, and Dynamic Cruise Control as well) but the caveat is this package is only available in IS250/350 AWD.

Its one of those features that if you've never had, doesn't seem like that big of a deal, but once you've had it for a while, you'd like to keep it around if possible.

I drove a 2014 IS 250 + Nav and it had the auto-tilt-down mirrors when reversing. No luxury package.

Nope. Non F-Sport, IS 250 with Navigation, backup camera, 18" mesh alloys.
