Default First issue on tire replacement

So we purchased two new IS last weekend. Three days later my wife catches a flat due to the 595 construction. Okay, no biggie i work at the dealer easy replacement right. Guess again, come to everyone's surprise the rear on this gen is different from the previous gen. And to add to this discovery no one in the area carries this tire. New tire is a 255/35/18 bridgestone turanza er33. Long story short we had to speak directly to bridgestone to get a new sent over. I hope no one else is running into something like this.

I'm guessing daily driver? (no real NEED to get the OEM tire?) this is a common tire size and your local walmart has a lot of different brands that carry this size. Potenza's but no Turanza at walmart.

sorry about the flat. good luck.

I just looked at the lexus website and it is indeed 255/35/18 for the rears now. 2IS was 255/40/18

Yup. The front tire size for 18" remains unchanged in 3IS.

I would but since i work for them its being taken care of internally plus they gave her a gs til the tire gets here, so its not bad all. Just don't know why they changed the tire size to low profiles
