I am liking the new body style, but I agree the LED DRLS's should have been part of the headlight assembly. Also the car looks better with the fog lights, hopefully the next IS-F goes with fogs?

I was thinking the same thing. I saw the Nebula Gray pearl non-F-Sport IS photos. The dark color does seem to help hide the gap between the LED DRL and headlights.

personally i love the independent DRL! i hope Lexus keeps that theme (as well as the LFA gauge) for the coupe that's supposedly coming (since that's really the car i'm waiting for), if not bummer.
To be honest, I'm not sure why Lexus has chosen this:
compared to this:
IMO, I personally prefer the headlamp design of the 2IS. It's more consistent in design flow and it works well. As they say, 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it."
But what's done is done. I suppose that the only way the headlamp design flaw of the 3IS could be corrected is if they fix during the MMC facelift (but that will take AT LEAST 3 years after initial launch). Bummer
And it's a shame because for me, the rest of the design is fantastic. Yes everything about the design aspect of this vehicle is something that I highly approve.................except for the front headlamps
I mean: How on earth did that disproportional headlamp design (with such a huge gap) ever approved for production?

Also, the leading edge of the lower sill in front of the rear wheels curves in, where it should flare out. This exposes too much of the tire and contributes to the 4x4 look (not sporty).
These are visual design flaws common with lesser companies, but here we see them with Lexus (GS has same lower-body issues). This is mainly why I'm somewhat disappointed with the 3IS. Also going to be hard adding body kits to all the black plastic. =/

it is just the angle... on the road pics from proper angle look great.
and i would guess since this is 2 piece bumper, it will be actually easier to replace and add different one, vs replacing complete bumper.
Personally, regular bumper might be too busy at the back... i have to see it live.

I think only club lexus is liking the car, all other forums, majority are against the new redesign.
I have a 2010 Is250awd, and will still be happy even after 2014 comes out. The cabin looks a bit too busy, and loses the simplicity that the current generation has.
The hand mouse, I tried on my sisters 2013 Rx, it is sort of annoying and can't be used while driving. Makes it more useful as a touch screen.
Exterior some angles look good, but front facia and rear seems out of whack.
The new GS and ES looks so much better then this design.

Complete lack of originality. I'm very, very disappointed. Unless, the new F has some major differences, looks like I'll be keeping my '08 for a long time.

I'm severely unimpressed. The entire lineup looks too much alike (front and back end), and the new IS looks like it lost the "new release" race with Honda. My very first thought when I saw this was, "Is that an Accord?".
