i agree with MPLexus301...wish the tail pipes would be integrated in the bumper but besides that I love it! I guess we will all find out tomorrow on lexusenthusiast.com what the car will look like. They are releasing the pics sometime tomorrow!!!

the rear lights bleeding into the rear quarter panels throws me off a bit. maybe with more time and actually seeing it in person it will grow.

i actually like the exposed pipes though. i always found it odd with you have pipes enclosed and made to look bigger with the bumper

The straight on shot of the rear sold me on the tail lights. This car is gorgeous! Can't wait to see the regular and ISF variants!

If you want boring, safe, sedate, the IS is not for you. This is also the F-sport, the regular version has a different front end of course. This is a car you will need to see in person as the LF-CC translates far better in person than in photos. Due to the complex surface detailing and mix of creases you cannot get a truly accurate interpretation of the design. In person its going to strike up even more conversations. The front end simply has NEVER been done before on a car and to many will take some getting used to.

Note how the concept car LEDs made it to production being totally separate in the lower bumper as well as the headlight shape. Lexus is managing to share new design cues without the designs looking the same in different sizes.

The rear also has the sharp tails like the concept

Overall very nice and aggressive. Not sure how I feel about the extra little "gills" right next to the spindle grill at the bottom.

Re-posting the pics in a bigger size so that we can see them more clearly =)

Anyways:

There seems to be some sort of 'disconnection between the headlamp housing and the LED DRL light strip.....

Other than that, the exterior seems quite neat. Wheels look sharp and side angles are great. =)

And my god, the interior is so stunning. Indeed, it's something to die for

Thank you for the visual comparo.

Lots of people always complain that the production version loses a lot of the concept's details.

It's great to see Lexus boldly and daringly push the envelope on design, especially for the IS, which needs to exhibit aggression and prowess.

Heck, if you ask me, I'm surprised that Lexus was able to keep the production unit as close to the concept version as possible.
