This should silence those demanding easier to access front cup holders!

I guess I'll need to see in person, but right now I'm feeling about as bad about the front grill as I felt about the rear of the new Acura TL when it came out.

Isn't there a long thread on 3rd Gen forums with pictures? Lexus corporate already announced it yesterday and Autoblog leaked the pictures hours ahead.

I don't mind the grill personally. It's the back end that looks like the new Acura ILX that kills it for me. The 2IS has such an elegant back 3/4 sections and they ruined it with those lights. But like you said I'll just have to wait to see it in person.

Bear in mind that Lexus does exactly this with the ES & IS.

Also bear in mind this is the F-Sport, you have not seen the basic model. I would never have bought an F-Sport GS, it doesn't appeal to me, but I did buy an ordinary GS.

I actually feel the same.
Not a fan of the F-Sport trims but the new IS does look nice but I'd go non F-Sport.I like the toned down look and more luxury features.
Curious to see what the non F-Sport IS350 looks like.
Smart move making it a bit bigger. That was my problem with it.

I too am interested to see the non F-Sport. Little less metal inside, some wood trim here and there, exterior toned down a little, I bet its sharp.

Yes, room especially in the rear was a big issue with the 2IS.

Its kinda cool though when you think of it, the 1IS was boy racerish to a degree that was beyond, the 2IS was much more staid, this car is an interesting mix of the two.

The big thing to me is interior quality. The A4, C Class, 3 Series, and the new Caddy ATS all have nice materials inside. If Lexus goes too crazy with thin hard plastic like they did in the ES IMHO, it will be a shame.

EDIT- I just realized while reading Autoblog that the poster above who showed a picture of the E class interior to compare to the IS was a picture of the new E63! Even more ridiculous, you could buy 3 IS's for what an E63 costs

The pics make the interior look very nice.Got to see the whole car in person. The only interior negative for me right now is the cup holder position but not a biggie.

I like it. The design is very fresh inside and outside.

The cup holders are lame. At least in the 2G there's a cover. Totally looks low-class with the 2 big holes there.

Lexus apologies for telling people the LF-CC was a preview of the next IS and well the next IS does indeed look like the LF-CC

Yeah the cup holder position is a little bit awkward...

I know this is a pre production model but does that mean that what will hit the dealerships will look differently much like the concept versions do?
