From the current generation of Lexus vehicles, my vote goes to the 4GS, which still looks agressive, without being too weird-looking.
I just saw Initial D (the movie) the other day and when i saw the pics today...that was my first impression Its the vents...they protrude out like the old-school cars. I'm now interested to see what the new Q50 looks like from Infiniti (formerly known as the G series cars). It will probably come down to those two for me.

Yeah, I am liking my current 2IS a lot more now after seeing the 3rd generation. Interior looks VERY BUSY, where is the simplicity as in 2nd generation. Oh well, 2013 ES even looks better.

Nailed the interior! I'm not sure how I feel about the front end, but the rest of the body lines on the car look great.

side note. Could their team really not come up with a better design for a side mirror? Really? Same ugly bulky ones from the previous generation.

Loving everything EXCEPT the rear... Hate how cheap that rear diffuser looks and how the tail lights angles downward that far..

I'll say how I really feel without buttering it up.

As a whole, the exterior looks hideous. Maybe it's because it's so jarring, and gets in your face.
That side profile looks particularly nasty.
It's like the rear end was the result of a 2IS in a bad accident. Even from a diagonal view, the headlights look like they resulted from a bad accident.

It's like it was plucked straight from a japanese cartoon.

That "cut" going from the taillight to the door sill is like Joker's mouth cuts. The white color makes the rear look like a Trooper helmet.

Will take some time to wrap my head around this.

Now, where are the G37, I mean Q50 leaks ????

I like the aggressiveness. It's gonna take some getting used to though. I admit my 2IS is starting to feel old. I'll still hang on to my 2IS for now until perhaps a mid-cycle refresh or an engine change.

I really like the interior though!

I agree, the rear diffuser looks darn cheap.

Lexus has always been known for conservative, classy, and stately designs. I know they've been trying to reverse some of that recently, but the new IS sport is way overboard. The grille is out of control and now it has out of control taillights to go along with it. I think they are going to turn off a lot of future customers, while maybe gaining with the high school crowd. I don't see this as a positive move for the company.

P.S. No rear spoiler for the sport model?

That's why a dark color like black or grey would work best with this style. It will help bridge the gap between the DRL and headlilghts.

Bumper to bumper and roof to rubber... home run. Stoked about what color/interior combos will be available. Any F-sport only colors/combos? Glad no front plate requirements in my state.

Ultra White is F-sport exclusive exterior color.- According to Hoovey.
