If you want a manual, I would look elsewhere. Lexus's manual transmission isn't that great.
I'm aware of the design and drawbacks of the IS250's 6MT, still love driving it though. It's not nearly as bad as most people on CL seem to think it is, in my opinion.

I've had my transmission replaced with the TSB version and a sprung clutch disc, as well as the F-Sport Quickshifter. The Quickshifter changed the feel, but the TSB didn't change much. The feel on the 09+ RA62 is already quite a bit improved from the 06-08. Other than the noises the throwout bearing makes I have no complaints with the 6MT in my IS250 really. The shifter isn't perfect, but it feels on par with many RWD shifters.
In any case, this is off-topic for the thread, haha.
I would believe so, it just a matter of wiring and connections that would make it works.
It's a bit more involved than that. A lot of the information the ECU in the gauge cluster gets is specific on the data buses in the car. If they've changed the way certain information is communicated it can definitely complicate things. Plus it's probably a different shape, lol.
So Disappointed . Have been waiting and holding up to trade for 2nd gen IS350 for many years. Im waiting for the 3rd gen and the 306 horses still the same. I understand the whole new driving dynamic but 306 horses power to come along with the new speedometer inspired from LFA they dont match. The sound of the engine after watched the video Im so disappointed nothing make you like WOW. Probably driving my slow 250 until the refresh the new engine. I understand that If you alway wait then you will never get to enjoy anything. Infinity G37 sound amazing even tho it's slower than 2nd 350 but it will be redesign the next summer If Im not wrong even Acura TL it redesing on next year based on the info on Acurazin members. Why would we still have the same engine 3.5 since 2006. At least pump it to 320 or 330 horses and bring the 0-60 down to mid-high 4sec.
Even if it remains at same power it would still be quicker with the 8at. Not to say it isnt quick allready.
Since you have a slow 250 like I do, a jump to the current 350 is allready huge.
Dont fool yourself, after all it's a luxury sports sedan...they wont make a bomb out of it untill the isf comes out.
the cluster looks sick no doubt, but does anyone else feel like the rest of the interior looks dated?
I don't like the shifter and the layout of the buttons on the center dash. Also the 2 turning *****.
But maybe the final version looks different.
Edit: For me, the whole interior looks weird on the test car. It look like a mix of LFA and a Prius... Really hope the final version look better than this.

Let's pretend we can see behind the black tape and covering on the new 3IS dash, I still think the 2IS looks a whole heck of a lot more luxurious. I don't even think it looks as refined as the new GS even. I do like the new cluster, but will have to wait and drive the new one to see if its as "tossable" (more fun to drive).
