Mark Levinson Speaker Upgrades
Has anyone swapped out any of the speakers on a 2021+ IS350 with ML? I've had the 2025 IS350 with ML for a few months now and I can't say that I'm overly impressed with the sound that I've gotten out of it. Tried playing around with the front/back fader but the rear door tweeter and mid woofer sound much worse compared to the front speakers and the rear deck speakers are barely audible. The front speakers are clear but but at times a bit shrill.
Currently thinking about replacing the corner dashboard speakers first but I'm getting some mixed information. I've dug through a few threads trying to find information but it seems like most of the info is for 2014-2020 models. With the 2021 refresh, it seems like they changed some of the speakers/ the amp so Im not sure if the diagram in this thread still applies. I also chatted with Crutchfield and they said that corner dashboard speakers are 4 ohm - recommending Rockford Fosgate R14X2. Can anyone verify? I might just pop one of corner speakers out this week and try to measure the impedance.

Hey First,
Wish I had the ML system so I can answer your question. I can only tell you that the non-ML speaker impedance is 4ohm as that is what I have. I replaced all of my speakers and am very happy with the results. Just replacing the dash speaker is a big improvement. I'm not sure if the ML dash speakers are the same size as the non. If they are, you'll want to replace them with 3.5" speakers as the 4" will need modifying to make them fit. You'll need to trim some of the interior dash that the speaker is mounted to. The trimmed area will be underneath the speaker grill and is not visible so if you go that route, it will be okay.
