Default Muffler delete, looking for tips, can this one be welded?

Amazon Amazon

^, not sure if it can be welded, doesn't mention it's stainless steel for the actual tip material however someone stated it is in the reviews. I know this is a clamp on but instead of clamp my question is can it be welded?

Also, heard the exhaust pipe is 2.25", so that means my tips would have to be 2.25 inlet? or can it be 2.5" inlet? Got exhaust tips on my IS250 and didn't think about this but the shop did it without asking questions.

Inlet means where the gas is coming from. So the tube would be 2.25" going into that exhaust tip.

It clearly states that your exhaust pipe (before it enters your existing tip) needs to have an outer diameter of 2.25” .
You’re not going to stretch it to 2.5”.
I’m sure you could weld it instead of using the clamps.
If your pipe is 2.5”, and you’re really hooked on those tips, I’m sure a muffler shop can adapt them with a reducing adapter and possibly trim a bit off the existing pipe so the tips don’t extend too far.

Yeah. That. I completely missed the 2 in 2.25".

If you were really sick on those tips. I'm sure there's 2.5" somewhere.

I think if you're clamping it on it has to match the 2.25" pipe but if it's being welded by a shop, they can make the welds and use different size pipes; my question more was there are slits where the clamp sits on the inlet of the exhaust, I wasn't sure if these would provide a weak weld support on the existing pipe.

I was talking to a good friend, I'm just going to with polished tips. I think these might be a little riced out. I feel like it would look cool though. Not 100% sure.

Polished tips with carbon fiber. That's what I'm doing. Mines on the way.
