2018 3IS battery discontinued
Does anyone know the correct battery P/N for this M/Y Lexus? LexusPartsNow lists 28800-38100, but it shows as discontinued everywhere. The OEM battery is a D26, 20HR 70Ah, 580 CCA, apparently made by Panasonic.
Based on the approximate dimensions (10" L × 6.75" W × 7.75" H), I’ve found a few possible replacements, but the battery cage is a tight fit, so I’m not confident anything smaller (or larger) will secure properly.
I called Lexus, and they recommended P/N 00544-MF24F-575. The CCA matches, but the listed dimensions (~5×5×5) seem much smaller than OEM. That would likely require ditching or modifying the battery cage, which I’d prefer to avoid. It also appears to be an Interstate battery. The dealer quoted $288, while LexusPartsNow shows $114.
If it is an Interstate, Costco recommends a comparable battery for $125 with 700 CCA, and the dimensions seem much closer to OEM.
Last but not least is this Toyota battery which also carries an 84-month warranty, compared to Costco's 3-year. I'm assuming the Lexus (Interstate) version is also 84-months, but the price is absurd.
I got about 7.5 years out of the original battery, so no complaints there. Has anyone replaced theirs with a direct-fit option that works with the factory battery cage? I’d really like to avoid modifying it.
Thanks in advance.

Toyota North America doesn't sell batteries imported from Japan unless they came in the car, so the factory part numbers (28800-xxxxx) are never available here, with some small exceptions for unusually sized Hybrid LV batteries.
00544-MF24F-575 is a group 24F battery, and should measure approximately 10.75" L, 6.75" W, and 9.2" H.
