My radio unit just started rebooting constantly. Unfortunately it seems to be a common problem.
The navigation units are really expensive to replace. Anyone change to a non navigation and aftermarket screen. I think that will end up costing less. Any suggestions or advice?

 

I'm dealing with the same issue, and everything I've seen in the forums about it says if replace your radio it has to have the same radio code as yours original. For example, my 2014 IS350 F Sport's radio code is P10433, so another P10433 is the only replacement that will work for me. If the code is different, but otherwise looks identical, the radio won't work in your car...

There are no stand-alone aftermarket headunits for our cars, and the aftermarket screens that add CarPlay and Android Auto to them need a functional factory radio for them to work.

Getting used replacement headunits are a gamble, with no guarantee they won't eventually end up the same. Sending the headunit to a repair facility (like OEM Auto Audio, Inc.) appears to be the best and least expensive way to truly fix the issue. Others can chime in with their experience on that last potential solution...

 

I got to the diagnostics menu, lists a B1575 code. Looks to be losing power between the radio and screen…. I doubt it is the connection. Likely still have to replace the radio. Any advice out there?
