Transmission Fluid Exchange 2017 Lexus IS200t
Hey folks,
I have a 2017 Lexus is200t with just about 66,000 miles. Car is about 8 yrs old at the time I’m writing this and I’m due for a transmission fluid service.
Lexus dealership is offering a transmission service as “transmission fluid exchange” but im not sure exactly what that is. Sounds like a full flush at first, but it also doesn’t indicate it’s a drain and fill.
I’m planning to ask the service advisors and get a clearer answer, but then again they’re not the technicians in the meantime what is your thoughts on how it should be serviced? Drain and fill with filter/gasket replacements? Or flush with everything replaced, or what else?
also any experience with doing the service yourself? Is it worth the trouble to DIY?
TIA
