Hey all,
I recently upgraded the rear back up camera on my 2014 Lexus IS. The camera was starting to become hazy and I decided to upgrade it to a newer OEM camera. To access the camera, the carpet on the boot lid was required to be removed, then the tail lights, trim around the hinges and the trim around the camera and license plate lights. I used a 10mm spanner to remove the bolts. I also made a video of the process on YouTube (just search REVLEXUS to find the channel) if you want to change the rear camera on your IS.

Did the new camera improve the display quality?

 

Vastly!! It is more in line with the quality of my Lexus LC now. Especially reversing at night, it is not grainy.
