I had different one before (I believe that was Z-Edge) but it died during summer (probably overheated during 100F+ days).
I hardwired the new one the same one as old one to have it record when car is parked. I noticed that new one came with extra piece that lets me regulate voltage that dash cam will turn off to prevent car battery dying (old one didn’t have that module).
Camera works fine when ignition is on and when car is being driven (records front, back and sides, saves recordings on SD card correctly) but moment I turn off the car, camera powers off.
I tried different configurations and connect it to different fuses but can’t find the way to make it work in ‘Parking mode’
PS: Parking mode in camera settings is turned on, all fuses are working not fried.
This is how I have it connected right now (works when car is on, turns off when car is off):
The ‘Radio’ fuse is always powered. Try that one to monitor your voltage level.
Thank you so much! This did the trick!
I connected BAT to Radio (RADIO) fuse, ACC to Passenger Seat Heater fuse (S/HTR F/R) and camera is recording while car is off!
I appreciate your help! Took me a while to check this and answer cause completely forgot about it but today i saw little dent from someone opening doors next to me on work parking lot and wanted to check camera to just see that it didn’t record while parked
