Default 2016 is350 f sport different versions?

Hey guys
first post, i am looking to purchase a 2016 is350 f sport but the models im coming across are different some have the new headlights and those rectangular exhaust covers while other 2016 models have the older headlights like 2014 models with the usual dual cylinder exhausts
why are they different? Is it like a different package or trim? Will the one with the rectangular exhaust cover be able to fit a aftermarket quad exhaust system? What other differences are there between these versions
Old style headlights
Old style headlights

sorry if these were dumb questions
Newer headlight

You are comparing different model years of the same car. Manufacturer makes some slight changes year to year. Some years have bigger cosmetic changes, but it’s still the same car underneath. It’s like comparing apples to apples, do you like red or green, Macintosh or Honey Crisp?
Sure, some things can be options in the same year, like HID (single projector) or LED (twin projector) headlights in the early years. You may want to shop the newest model that fits your budget, unless there is a specific look that really appeals to you. (Like for me, I prefer the tail light design of the earlier years, as the side visual blends better with the shape of the car.)

i appreciate your reply but these cars are both 2016 models.......it it possible the one with the newer features was a late 2016 facelift version closer to the 2017 model? Similar to what they did in 2013?

Where did you get the pics from? The 2nd picture is definitely the 2017 refresh. Those pics look like they're from the media pics released by Lexus.

The second picture is definitely post-refresh. In the US and Canada, all of the refreshed cars are model year 2017. If the car has the rectangular exhaust outlets (assuming it is not modified), it is a 2017-2020 car. Not to mention, the taillights themselves are also different.
