Chasing sporadic front end noise over certain bumps
I have a 2019 IS 300 F Sport wth 56k on the clock. Every now and again over sharp bumps, The fron't end makes a clunking noise. Hard to pinpoint but it almost sounds like it is coming from the center of the front end, or the right side. I have replaced both sway bar endlinks and I have checked bushings. The lower and upper balljoints are good too. What else can I check?
My 19 also does this. Mine only has 19k on the clock. And its not every time, just maybe sometimes if I'm paying close attention to it... Seems like the front right side noise just like yours and it only lasts for a second then its right back to normal.
I ordered sway bar end links and bushings just to rule that out. But now I am totally in my head that the front end feels loose over certain bumps in the road. Clearly, there is something wrong but I have jacked the car up and checked every bolt and balljoint on the suspension I could and I can't find any obvious signs which is always the most frustrating part. The struts seem good, the top hats seem ok as well. Bushings all look fine that I can see.
