Default Windshield replacement

I have these tiny dots of etching all over my windshield which drives me nuts. It is a 2019 IS300. I want OEM glass. Has anyone charged their front windshield?

The dots are rock strikes.
Just install Wincrest EVO WPF (Windshield Protection Film) on the outsides of your windshield.
Dots all gone & can't be seen anymore.
No image distortion, & easily removed in future if damaged by wipers after 2-3 years.

WinCrest EVO WPF is a rather new soft-type, self-healing, not heat-gun, cheap, fast & 10min easy install.
Very suitable ppl who already have nano-ceramic clear tint on the insides of their windscreen, as you don't have to pay 2x for nano-ceramic WPF on the outside.

The WPF regardless if it's nano-ceramic PET/soft-type, will save you $$$, by preventing future breakage, while removing the dots, all while offering 99% UV-A reduction.
If you need 75% IR reduction, cos you don't have tint on insides, you can also pay more for nano-ceramic WPF from WinCrest to same effect.

Lastly, if you still see the dots after WPF install, you can also consider clear nano-ceramic tint from Llumar, which is actually Lexus's default front & rear and rear windscreen tint.
That will remove any dots, without distorting any image.

They are as pricey as the nano-ceramic WinCrest, but will offer UV-B & UV-C to prevent dash & mid-console damage, while keeping your car really cool even when it's 120F outside, without any need of AC, thereby saving gas consumption over long run, while preventing your insurance premium from going up by 2-3x, if you file for windscreen shatter, when the dots start to propagate in crack line.

Nevertheless, any new windscreen you install at any garage/mobile glass repair, outside dealership will be fake or 2nd-grade OEM windshields, which will break more easily & will have more rock strikes (dots), thereby necessitating WPF.

Always remember, mid-console & dash replacement due to UV induced cracks cost 10x more than engine replacement

I can’t imagine that a PPF will make the appearance of glass imperfections, go away…

... Huh? Wait, what?

In any case, I agree that, beyond simply filling pits and chips at a windshield repair shop or at home with a DIY kit... there's not much you can do other than replace it, especially if you want the dots to go away visibly. I had some small chips repaired on my 2016 IS 300 AWD at a Safelite, but I could very much still see them.

Yeah I changed mine with the OEM one because of that reason, the stone chips were driving me nuts.
Depending on the dealer, you may not need calibration.

Aside from that, it's a straight forward job and the car is gone for 2 days.
