I've put side moldings on both ES350s I've owned. I think they provide some character, and protection, to the blank side of those cars. They came from Lexus and were purchased from my dealer's parts department.

Has anyone put them on an IS, does Lexus supply them for the IS?

I don't think I've ever seen side moldings on a modern IS. Don't think it would do the car any practical or styling favors. The side of the IS is one of the most sculpted shapes around.

 

The body colored side mouldings were available for the pre-2021 redesign and look pretty good.

Yes, my dealer ordered them and they are being applied tomorrow.

Had a miscommunications w the person at my Lexus dealer. They ordered door edge guards not side moldings.
Fortunately, my car has 'em already.
Unfortunately, Lexus no longer makes them for the IS...
