Default Why Chaning your oil is critical (video)

So I got the IS350 new a few months ago now and changed the oil way before the dealership recommended it. Thank god I did....watch the video and see what was found! Looking forward to doing the next oil change soon now and hopefully it will be less debris found.
Has anyone else found this during their oil changes?

That was not small debris, very concerning to see that much material in the pan.

Excessive debris left in the oil pan, Will see how it looks after the next oil change.

I have never followed manufacturers recommendation and usually change it earlier than needed. Which is about 5k miles.

Frequent oil changes are definitely the key to engine longevity. I purchased a 2017 is300 awd with 58,000 miles on the clock with no service history documentation. Did an oil change as soon as I got the car home and found a ****ty aftermarket oil filter crushed and improperly installed. The clock is now just under 65,000 miles and I’m on my 3rd oil change. Been using Valvoline Restore and Protect, will change the oil at 4,000 miles next and will settle at 5000 mile oil change intervals by the following change. Always keep the following oil change on the shelve all ready to go, oem oil filters and drain washers. Preventive maintenance is critical if one plans on driving a car 2-300,000 miles.
