Although our products are 100% plug-and-play and DIY-friendly, we've only been selling them to car dealerships so far. However, it seems like there's interest from people who want to do installations themselves, so we're planning to launch them directly to consumers. The product currently available on the website is obviously geared toward consumers and doesn't require any installation; it just plugs into the USB. But since people are interested in doing installations, we'll be releasing the rest of our products for consumers as well.

None of this makes logical sense. Is it a dongle or not?

We manufacture various CarPlay kits for different cars, primarily catering to car dealerships. If you visit a dealership, such as a local Lexus dealership, to buy a used car from their lot, many of these dealerships would purchase our product to install in the cars. They do this because of the long warranty and because our product is something they can resell to their customers as if it were factory-installed, without any additional branding.

Seeing the significant demand for such products and that customers are willing to do installations themselves, we're planning to start selling our products directly to consumers as well.

The products currently featured on the website are specifically designed for cars that already have Apple CarPlay installed, that's the only requirement fro product to operate. It's made for consumers, meaning anyone can purchase it and plug it into the USB port of vehicles that already have factory CarPlay. This product is for customers who want to add video to their screens.

Except none of that is true based on your website. You sell a dongle that may or may not work. There are ZERO reviews or examples of real world use of your product. Nothing on YouTube, or anywhere else. Not a single example of somebody using your product yet you r been in business for a decade.

Also, you can’t select various products or specify what car you are ordering this for during checkout, I just did it.

Literally tons of red flags here…

In product description on the website you can find the following text - This USB to HDMI interface works with ALL vehicles that have factory-installed Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.

In my previous reply, I have wrote this exact text below

Too sketchy.

Again, you sell some unreviewed, untested dongle in a space literally saturated to the gills with CarPlay and Android Auto dongles. You conflate features between this dongle and some other product that can’t be ordered from the website nor shown any proof that it exists or is being used in the market.

I am actually a little upset at ClubLexus for allowing you to be a sponsor. This is embarrassing.

This isn't a CarPlay dongle, and there's nothing like it currently available anywhere on the planet.

Except it is a dongle. The ONLY showing of existence of this device is on your site. Literally nowhere else. Not a single YouTube review or overview from anyone but you. The only thing on your site to buy right now is a USB to HDMI adapter that nobody is using.

If you really want to know, we could have a hundred reviews on YouTube tomorrow. But if you look at any of those reviews, 100% of them are by affiliate marketers. They review the product and include a link in the description for people to buy it and earn an affiliate commission. Most of these products are praised as great simply because otherwise, they wouldn't be able to sell them and earn a commission. Since our product works well, nobody makes a negative review of it.

If you check out 100% of the reviews, you'll find am affiliate link below leading directly to the website or to Amazon store. None of these reviews are made because someone genuinely wants to review the product; it's all about earning affiliate commissions. We don't sell on Amazon because they take a huge chunk of money, and they typically sell the cheapest products. Plus, since our product is made in the USA, there's not enough margin to offer money to affiliates.

Plenty of YouTubers have approached us, offering their services in exchange for a large affiliate commission. However, they don't drive significant sales because people usually search for reviews of specific brands on YouTube. This means we have to do all the work to get people to go online and look at the review. But even then, if we're paying for affiliate money, the YouTube review is likely to be overly positive anyway.

Try spending hours on YouTube and find reviews of a Carplay dongle that's positive and doesn't have an affiliate link in it. Even products with a 2.5 star rating on Amazon will have great reviews on YouTube. It's quite amazing, isn't it?

Bottom line:

Go buy Grom. They have been around forever, they are established, and supported and the units are good. Don't trust some random company with a makeshift website just because they paid to be a forum sponsor.

This guy InverdMP is the reason why members of this forum end up wasting cash on junk without any warranty.

On May 2 at 10:39 PM, we hit him up to hop on a FaceTime call to show him our factory and clear up his claims about our product supposedly being made in China or wherever.

You know what? No reply. Not on May 2, not on May 3, not May 4, not May 5, and not even today, May 6.

We're just trying to hook you up with some top-notch stuff so you don't waste your hard-earned dough on crappy products. We're open books. Wanna see the factory? No problem. Need a lifetime warranty? No sweat.

InverdMP says we've got a sketchy website, but he doesn't get that we link straight to the product to buy, not some website with a ton of stuff that doesn't even match your ride. We give you a direct link to the product. For instance, this person keeps talking, but when we offered to show him the factory via video call, he went radio silent. He acts like Sherlock Holmes, but when we offer something as simple as, "Hey, let's hop on a video call and show you where these things are made," poof, he's gone. Why? Because he just wants to stir the pot online, hide behind his keyboard, and talk smack. He's just a hater who doesn't want you to have a choice. And he can't reply to this message and show where he agreed to a video call because on May 4, when we were talking on May 2, he didn't even bother replying to us.

Think about it. He waits two days to come online and write a message, but he'd never agree to a FaceTime call because he doesn't want his world rocked. He doesn't have any screenshots to back up his talk. That's the problem. Don't listen to people like that. Use your own brains, do your own research. Don't buy into this nonsense.
Here's the proof. We offered a video call, but as soon as he realized his assumptions were wrong, he vanished. He's stuck in this idea that we're from China. Anyone who wants to jump on a call, just shoot us a message.
