how well does phone mirroring work?
i'm really thinking of trading in my 2018 IS for a used 2021 or newer model but i've noticed that the majority of the cars listed no longer include the factory navigation package. is this becuse the screen mirroring works well enough that most people no longer feel the need for including lexus's oem navigation? i have oem navigation in my car and would prefer to have it in a newer model if possible. thank you for any responses in advance
I don't know if that's why they don't include the navigation, but I find Android Auto to work just fine with mine. Granted, I've had some audio hiccups from time to time where the audio played through my phone or the car sporadically. However, I attribute this to Pandora - I have not experienced this since I switched to YouTube Music.
I highly recommend the navigation package, since it comes with the larger screen. I am not a fan of the small screen, personally. It looks wrong.

I have the navigation package and still use android auto, I prefer the larger screen. However I did stop plugging it in and instead installed a wireless module, Qi charger pad and center consol tray.
now I just start the car, drop on my in the center consol tray and it charges and connects to android auto wireless.
