Help needed! Possibly serious issues with my 3IS Lexus.
Hello all. Been having issues with my 2014 IS350 F-Sport (AWD) pretty much since I bought it in August of this year. Granted these "issues" were mostly resolved upon performing general maintenance, since I am the 3rd owner. Bought the car at 99,000 miles, now sitting at 101,500 miles.
Here are my concerning issues as of recent:
1. Burning smell after a ~15 minute or longer drive. Smell seems to be coming from engine bay, could be wrong though. Can be smelled from inside the car. No smoke to be seen. Cabin air filter replaced yesterday.
2. Transmission feels jerky upon coming to a stop. This feeling is amplified when in manual mode. Whining noise when accelerating between 1000 and 3000 rpm, between gears 1 and 2, maybe even 3, but goes away when in higher gear. Heard some clunks coming from beneath my drivers seat, could possibly be the transmission. I know these cars have the sealed lifetime transmission, but my car is at 101,000 miles, and I dont think it was ever changed.
3. Idling rough. Tachometer bounces a bit, and car slightly judders at random when idling at or below 700rpm. Sometimes it sounds like a diesel vehicle at idle. Have already replaced fuel pump at the dealer a few months ago under recall. Engine air filter replaced yesterday. No lights on dash.
Are these issues common for this car? (First Lexus IS)
Have any of you faced similar issues? If so what was the root cause? How did you end up fixing it? If you took your car to a Lexus dealer, how much were you quoted for?
I plan on taking the car to a Lexus dealership tomorrow, but I don't want to go in blindly, therefore your expertise and personal experience would be greatly appreciated!!

change your fluid. Drain and fill but do not flush.
clean your throttle body, do a engine flush (add in the brand of choice 100 miles before tour next oil change), injector cleaning agent in the gas, also check pcv valve. At 100k miles it's time for some cleaning/servicing.

going to have to get under car and look around. Maybe a transmission leak somewhere would explain both the smell and lack of proper shifting. Lexus dealer won t be the cheapest solution but you may get a good idea what s wrong.
