Daily-Road Warriors
Greetings,
All daily driven road-warriors report in:
I got a stunning offer on my daily driven Jeep Cherokee X from Carvana and I am considering selling it and making the 2023 IS350 F Sport my daily driver (while I save more money and scope out my next project/weekend car).
Here in Houston we get scorching heat and a ton of flooding rain and I have to admit the Cherokee has been a hero so far in all conditions without breaking a sweat.
How many of you drive your Lexus daily and in all weather conditions? How is that working for you? (Bonus for pictures of your Lexus in challenging weather conditions)...
Cheers.

I've been dailying my IS350 F Sport since I bought it with 30k miles in 2017 (currently at 163,xxx). Car is fun as a daily and can handle almost all weather conditions up here in Boston - 100 degree summer days to 12+ inch blizzards. All you need is good tires and car has no issues to handle heavy rain, snow, etc.
Rain should be absolutely no problem for this car. Absolutely do it! I dailyed my 2021 IS 350 F Sport RWD, and I even drove it in light snow/slush one day, and it did great. These cars are robust. Just don't off-road it, and you'll be good.
Daily 2023 IS350 FS RWD here in Dallas just fine in rain. Snowstorms will be another story of course.
The bigger issue is the air conditioner is not great on days over 100F while our other cars are just fine on really hot days. It’s okay if you’re moving but stop and go traffic jam on a really hot day the AC can’t really keep up. It’s not terrible but even our ES300h does a lot better staying cool.
Last car I sold I got a higher offer from Carmax than Carvana by the way, by a few thousand dollars. Sold it to Carmax and they didn’t even test drive it, just handed me a check a half hour later.

I daily drove my 2018 IS 350 F Sport in the Houston and Austin areas without issues. Since 2015 my wife and I have daily driven a previous generation 2013 IS 350 without issues in the Houston and Austin areas. I now daily my IS 500 since February. These cars daily just fine. Just keep up on your maintenance and you should be fine.

I did also just check out Carmax after you mentioned it and... dang...they offered me almost 3K less than Carvana...!
...part of the things to consider is also used car prices and new car availability going into next year. On one hand you have the union strikes and reduced inventories (on some brands and models) and on the other you have the increased rates and maxed out Houshold credit/spending with the cooling of the labor market.
Tough to predict anything anymore...
