Does anyone know if the 2014 IS250 is supposed to come with engine covers? (I am referring to the ones on the side)....

I swear for the last ten years, I have had side engine covers.... My dealer is telling me I have been seeing things for the past ten years.... And that they simply do not exist at all.

 

My 2014 250 does not...just the one on top of the engine.

 

Those existed in the 2IS but were removed in the 3IS. The 3IS only has the one on top of the engine.

 

I swear, the left and right parts of the engine were covered up until recently.

Does anyone know if the 2IS covers will fit the 3IS?

Yes, this is how it has always looked to me. I cant for the life of me prove it or find the part numbers for it

 

I think this isn't a Berenstain Bears moment, but for sure they did away with the side engine covers for the 3rd gen. In fact, 3rd-gen 250 and 350 models share the same engine cover.
