Default IS 300h Driver"s seat unconfortable

Hy Everybody,

I have a Lexus IS300h, a Leather, Comfort&Navigation modell from the year 2013.
My seat, the drivers seat is a manual one, and for me, for a longer time (after about 30 minutes, one hour) very uncomfortable, it has no lumbar support, and there is no facility to adjust it.
Do yow know, is the manual seat and the electric seat are exchangeable, I mean, is it possible to upgrade a manual seat to an electric one? As I know, the electric seats have lumbar support.
I suppose I have to install new electric wires to the proper electric supply of the new electric seat.

Thanks your help, your advise!

Best regards,
Daniel

Yeah, your car isn't setup to support electric power seats. The BCM controls them, and they're all monitored by the BCM. For example, the sear sliders have position sensors on them to determine airbag deployment time, and if one of those sensors isn't resounding, it throws a body code and SRS light. I suppose you could throw each power seat motor on a switch to move it, but thats pretty, uh, caveman.

I just traded out of 2020 NX 300h with power seats, lumbar and the whole nine yards and it was SOOOO uncomfortable it was one of the main reasons I got rid of it. As soon as I got in I would squirm this way and that the whole drive. Now my IS 500 seats are a dream!

It may be better to invest in something you can put in/on the seat to help with lumbar support than to try to do any DIY power seats.

We have a 23 ES and a 23 IS350. The Lexus ES forum is full of people complaining about seat comfort also. The f sport seats in our IS are great but the base ES seats suck and hurt after a while. Very disappointing.
