Default IS250 RWD vented vs non vented rear rotars

Why do some earlier IS250's have non-vented rear rotors and the later facelift ones have vented versions? Does anyone know if the vented ones work on the non-vented car? or is the entire mounts different?

the OP is asking about rear rotors. most of the threads address the front rotors.

however likely the same criteria applies; if your car came with non-vented, stick to that as likely the vented are thicker and will not clear your caliper brackets.

Correct, the vented disc is thicker and will only work if the calipers for the vented disc is used.
