Default Auto-levelling motor question

Having a look at the auto levelling motor on our headlamps, the pins are 4 pins which seem to be 2 pairs. So for each headlamp there is a 1+ 1- and 2+ and 2-. Based on this I am assuming there must be two different motors inside the headlamp itself and each one is powered independantly instead of having a single motor that reverses it's polarity. Can anyone confirm what motor 1 and motor 2 actually do? In the lexus tecdocs diagram they are labelled as 1 and 2. I am assuming powering one of the motor moves the beam vertically in one direction and powering the other motor does the opposite?

Those motors move in both directions, the parts sites list 2 motors for those cars RH and LH.
