Hey everyone this is my first post about my 2011 Lexus IS250. The problem I’m having is the front right headlight will not come on after turning on head lamps. The day time running lights as well as the low beams will not turn on. Both of the low beam headlight bulbs were replaced 3 months ago(when first bought the car) then a month later, the front right started to dim, and then now the whole assembly is out except for the turn indicator. Checked the fuses, and everything was okay. However, the front right assembly does have a small panel gap, and it did just rain 3 days ago so the headlight does have condensation in it but not the left one. Could this be something to do with it?
Water intrusion may take out HID ballast but the highbeam should still work. I suspect moisture lead to corrosion, corrosion impaired the ground. The turn indicator is incandescent and may have its own ground.
You might order a ballast to have on hand, get some butyl, and plan on pulling the bumper and resealimg the headlamp.
Along the way you'll be looing for corroded connections. Has the right front been wrecked before?
