Hey all,

Just got my 2011 IS250 and wondering if it's possible to make the LED Strip that does the DRL, brighter?
Possible to change the high beam bulb or something to achieve this? Or is this something that just remains as is.
I know there was a thread about 8-9 years ago, but it doesn't cover this topic from my searches.

Happy to join the family and hoping to learn more from you all! (Will post in the welcome thread once I take pics..)

 

Well, an LED's brightness is controlled by current at a very low voltage. Have you noticed that with the parking brake on, that the strips are brighter than when off? P-brake is off? Find what controls that, and you have your solution!

Mind you, if its not the BCM, it's likely part of some other CAN bus module. A subscription to TIS or another source for schematics holds the key...
