This is the thread I was looking for. OP, I installed one of the volt meter USB chargers mentioned above and have some information for you from a 2013 IS350.

Temps are in the 30°F here and have been warmer and colder, the same pattern repeated for weeks. I think this battery is at the 4 year old mark so it is time to keep an eye on it.
It also seems the system charges at a higher voltage/current based on something to the effect of time off.

I'll post back if something changes regarding details above.

Thanks for the follow up! What do you mean it charges based off the effect of time off?

Nah I didn't end up damaging the TB. They're pretty resilient from what I've heard. The problem was the alternator and posted somewhere up there in the comments with a summary. Thanks for the comment.

Just that charge voltage >13.8V for the first 15min on cold start, then levels off.

Thanks! I'll keep an eye on mine too. Crazy to me how many alternators these things tend to go through.

I use a generic ebay special obd2 reader: https://tinyurl.com/3xw3ydz9 as an example.
I use the 'car scanner' app and paid for pro (I think $5). https://tinyurl.com/3barfzfh
I use a pixel 6 pro
Honestly the app is so good and the best on the app store, head and shoulders above the rest.
Used my mates $600 scan tool and it tells me the same things. GL
