Hey everyone. I have an 08 250. Currently the touch screen isn’t responsive. It’s not frozen but just doesn’t do anything when you touch it.

my take is it could be a few things.

1. Fuse I checked the one on the passenger side the 10A radio fuse replaced it still not working.

2 . Recently replaced the battery with a cheaper one from Walmart, as my old one was dead dead.. (Car sat for 4 months).

3. Digitizer (which I pray isn’t the case because the repair cost seems to be ridiculous)

any suggestions/ feedback is welcome.

 

No personal experience with this problem (thankfully), but the vast majority of successful repairs I've seen here have been fixed either by replacing the digitizer, or by repairing a bad spot on the ribbon cable with conductive pen.

If you are capable of working on electronics, a compatible digitizer seems to be very inexpensive. https://www.ebay.com/itm/224486012959
