Default Replacing the brake fluid cap??

Has anyone ever replaced the brake fluid cap itself as part of maintenance? Wouldn’t those rubber things deteriorate after sometime?
I am going to get my fluid flushed this week and it’s the first time since I’ve owned the car :/ definitely the “neglected” part right now since the color is green.

Yikes... Green fluid usually implies moisture is in the system as it's breaking the fluid down.

You might consider an MC replacement as it's not worth dying for. As for the cap, it likely just needs cleaned.

Fluid is changed and the brakes are definitely smoother, pedals engaging with more control now.

Sounds good. Just keep monitoring the fluid color for some time.

After driving it more, I have to press the brake pedal less further down for engagement and it’s much more linear and controllable because before I’d have rough stops and lurch forward. Go flush yo brake fluid!!!!

Ya, every two to three years as it absorbs moisture. Come to think of it, I'm guessing mine is due since caliper paint and rebuild!
