Default Auto leveling headlights confusion

Is 250 headlights confusion
my dad has given me his Lexus IS 250 07 model, and both headlights are out my father is insisting that it’s gonna cost me $600-1000 to replace the headlights and I don’t think that’s right that sounds ridiculous. From what he is telling me to install new headlights I have to replace the entire headlight assembly and I can’t just replace the bulbs do to the car having the auto leveling headlights.
I found videos of people replacing headlights bulbs but they don’t say if they have the auto leveling version or not, so I’m really confused here.

So to sum up my questions, can I replace just the bulb on a auto leveling headlight assembly if I have no others error codes. Also what brand of bulbs should I go with, I know the car currently has HID bulbs in it. I found a company selling the OEM bulbs but is there a better brand out there.
Thank you all in advance.

My IS had auto leveling headlights and I just changed just the bulbs (OEM), no problem.

Bulbs are replaceable and do not buy the cheap stuff. Do a search for OSRAM this forum.

If you replace the bulbs yourself, do NOT touch the glass with your fingers or it will cause immediate failure of the bulb.
