Default Pre Collision badge replacement

My front grille badge on my 2011 Sport luxury has gone a horribly yellow haze color. i have tried to polish and clean the badge but there is no change. it looks like the haze and yellowness is coming from the inside of the plastic. My question is, how can i get this looking new again? I looked for a new badge but the price is very expensive. I dont even know how this works properly anyway? Does it matter if i swap the badge with a regular one that doesnt relate to the PCS? alternatively, can i cut the plastic film off and just leave the chrome badge exposed or will the system malfunction?

Only solution is to replace, sorry. You can't use a standard one, it interferes with the mm wave rader technology. You also can't go with aftermarket, their tolerances suck and you'll get errors. And yes, the badge is about ~400 USD for a reason. Also, no way to remove just the plastic cover, it's molded one piece and if you do, it will break the sensor calibration.

On the upside, you have DRCC with PCS, very, very rare, worth every penny to keep working. I use mine ALL the time and would never own another car w/o it.

No there is no cable behind the badge. It's just the style of badge allows the radar sensor that sits behind it to be able to penetrate it. Very cheaply available from breakers. I ended up buying a hybrid pcs version for mine even though i didn't need pcs. I also upgraded a standard ISF pcs one with the same hybrid pcs one and the radar works perfectly fine. https://is-250.blogspot.com/2021/02/...nt-emblem.html
