Default Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit

CEL and VSC light on, code P0345 came on after changing alternator. Accidentally pulled the wire out of connector, ordered a new one through amazon. CEL and VSC light is still on after new connector installed.Car runs and drives fine but some loss off acceleration.

On the scan tool does the code show as permanent? This happens if the obd code triggers while car is on. Meaning if you disconnect a critical sensor, and try to plug it back in while car is idling. If that's the case the light will go off by itself after a few cycles. It has to do with trying to cheat on emissions if im not mistaken.

How long did you let it sit before resetting?

If you keep resetting it won't reach OBDII emissions readiness. Which takes about 100 miles if mixed driving. While then you must let the engine complete 2-3 drive cycles.

If the light still won't go off on its own. Then some other issue is still going on related to the code.

I usually didn’t let it sit long between resets, I’ll give it try

I just did this - do you have the part number for the plug you ordered?
