Default Rear seal replacement

What up to the group glad to be here. I've owned my IS250 for almost 4 months now and I am slowly but surely making it a head turning machine.
if I may ask a question of the group I would greatly appreciate any feed back, ideas or opinions.
My 07 awd is getting a reconditioned transmission from Lexus to replace the old one due to shift solenoids and a pressure sensor. But it was no longer shifting into first. My question is do I need to have the rear seal replaced or risk the old one failing after instal of transmission. Thanks

Transmission or engine rear seal? If engine, I'd leave it.

I would assume the engine rear main seal. Normally I would say replace it since everything (minus flex plate I assume) would be removed for this "swap"; however, I've not encountered one member on here saying they had to replace their rear main seal due to leaking. Apparently Toyota got that part right on from the start. BUT...if they get in there and see any signs of seepage from the rear main, then yes, of course replace it.

Let us know how it all goes! Good luck!
