Default Aux malfunction HELP!!!!!

My Aux port only works when I have something plug into the power supply at the same time draining power. What can be the issuse?

It only works when something is plugged in? If so, that's how it supposed to work, unless you can give further details as to what else is happening.

the aux only works of something is plug into the cigarette lighter while the aux cord is plugged in it didn’t do that before

Please confirm the powered device is not also the Aux input device. If so, try a different input device into Aux port. Tablet or something...

If some control board for the AUX input lost power, it could be that feedback through another circuit (Accessory +12), makes a connection that wouldn't be there when the port is empty.

Check all the fuses under the dash (both kick panels) and under the hood. The owners manual provides a brief description of what some do. I suspect it's 10A or less.

Do you mean that it will only work if the playback device is getting power from the cigarette lighter supply?

all fuses have been checked everything is working properly also changed out the AUX port with 2 different ones still the same issue it only works while I have something plugged into 12v power supply
