Default Need backup camera suggestions

Hi, I have a 2008 IS250 without navigation. I'm passing the car down to my kid who is about to get their drivers license. Before I do, I want to install a backup camera. Can anyone suggest a backup camera that displays in the rearview mirror. I previously purchased a kit but the mount for the rearview mirror wouldn't work with our cars. I thought about buying one of those Chinese aftermarket radios that would accept a backup camera but everyone seems to have issues with installing them. I'm just looking for a quick easy and clean solution. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think the aftermarket nav is still the way to go. The common problem is the airbag light because most of those nav are not spec for NA, but from the forum posts, some of them got that fix -- ask for those units or sellers.

Thanks for the suggestions. I was hoping to find something like this:
Amazon Amazon
that could replace the factory rearview mirror and still use the same mounting point.

I was also looking into whether or not a 1st gen RX350 rearview mirror with the backup camera monitor built in would fit on the IS but the screen on those is lower resolution and they are only ~2.5".

How do you get rid of the airbag light? I recently installed a headunit and the airbag light came on

You can read some other thread about the aftermarket nav for details. Basically, you can ask the seller to send you some additional adaptor or canbus for US cars.
