Searched around but didn't find a definitive answer. My wife came home with the passenger window way off track. Took off the door panel to take a look and found a piece of clip at the bottom (it's the front one). Is there a repair for this or can you buy the clips? From my searching, I got mixed feelings on the possibility making one (don't have that much in metal working skills, but do have a piece of aluminum laying around. Most threads seem to just replace the window. Suggestions would be appreciated.
This sounds like the situation I had a couple of years ago - I tried to roll up the passenger's side window in my 2007 IS350 and there was a big noise. Part of the window that attaches to the window lift mechanism broke. Bad news - had to replace the entire window. This was $395 for parts and $200 labor. Not sure whether you could repair this yourself or not. or find used?

Was the black part of that blue thing glued to the window? If so, it may only come with the glass like previous post mentioned. Perhaps snag a used window and install it?
It really is a stupid design. So many threads about the same issue. Was going to try and make a piece myself, but talked to my insurance company and since it's actually part of the window, they will cover it (if you don't have full glass on you policy, get it). Safelite should be coming any minute. So I'm actually getting it done for zero out of pocket (but sadly I don't have any cash on me, so I can't tip the poor guy, so literally zero out of pocket. Need to borrow $10 from someone).
Looks like something that could be 3d printed. I've 3d printed the part that holds the engine cover to the mounts but that was fairly easy once I found the right filament. That part is more critical so I don't know if normal PLA would work.

We print before machining in steel and I wouldn't trust PLA for that unless it were redesigned to have more strength. Our printer is pretty nice at nearly a $4k investment...
I even printed the rubber like material which came out amazing for form, fit, and flexibility. A perfect durometer match.
