Default Adding factory headlight washers

Hi,

This might sound silly to most of you, but anyone added oem headlight washer system to their 2IS? Anyone know is the wirings there for easy installation like the parking assistant wires are? I know I have the plug behind the dash where you can connect the headlight washer button. My main question is what about engine bay side? Is the wiring for the relay and second pump there or are these missing completely? I thought I´d ask before taking the front bumper off

thanks in advance for any input!

Back track from the units to the wire harness part number and compare your current wire harness to for example my 2013 FSport as it has them.

Honestly I can't imagine it's worth the work, especially if a new bumper is needed. Another deal if it's just popping holes in it. Perhaps you know this but they only pop up when the headlights are on and the squirter is pushed. So some computer somewhere on the CAN bus is talking to make this happen.

Perhaps make a two day on Toyota 's TIS site and look up the details there?

I have the option and find it pretty useless.

Thanks for the replies! The reason behind all of this is that I have an 2008 model and I have ordered the 2012 F-sport bumper and it has the headlight washer holes. That´s why I´m trying to retrofit the system to work. In Europe MOT are pretty strict so if they see the system it should bee working even if you never plan to use it.

I have sprayers; wish I didn't. LOL!

Good luck on the retrofit.

I'm with Gville350; remember that wired as they come from the factory, the first time (in a drive cycle) that you try to clean your windshield with the lights on, the headlight washers activate too. I did a mod to stop this unwanted behavior; linking it here for the benefit of anyone else that hates this mis-feature as much as I did: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...ml#post2299117
