Default GROM car integration kit question

I dont really need a whole new make over as far as the stock stereo, i would very much like to just upgrade it a little bit, like maybe upgraded subs and a slightly stronger amp, but was told that i cannot do that on these cars unless i replace the whole HU like the grom vline that cost 700 bucks.

For now i would just like to be able to link up my cell phone via bluetooth and be able to control everything thru the buttoms on the radio and or steering wheel as opposed to having to pick up my phone every time i want to control the music, will this allow me to do that?

Actually the full Grom system wont make it any easier to add an amp or add a sub.
It will do what you are looking for though, it adds Bluetooth and control though the stock deck.
The device you linked does not have Bluetooth it just makes it so you have a interface to use those on your stock deck.
Less expensive than the full system but much much less options and you will have to buy more options to do what you are asking.

Damn, so even with the ful grom i cant do after market audio system? What i mean is, could i buy the full grom system, and then upgrade every single speaker in the car with aftermaket ones and add a amp and subs? Or is the grom system just for use with the stock speakers/amp?

It is made just to upgrade the head unit to include android audio and optional inputs all controlled via the touch panel and wheel controls. It does not include any new outputs to send to an aftermarket amp.

i just saw this video

so now i know i can keep the stock HU and still put it atleast aftermarket amp and subs, my question is on his HE, if u noticed towards the end, the screen shows Bluetooth audio and the name of the file he is playing on his phone! What is this, i though out headunits only work for bluetooth phone calls? atleast mine is like that unless im missing something, i have a 2009 nav and it only allows me to connect my phone via bluetooth for calls only.?
