Auto leveling headlights
I have a 2013 is250 with auto leveling headlight HID. About 2 years ago the car was in a front end collision and I needed headlights. So i got aftermarket oe replacements from eagle eye headlights. Right after i gave the car to my mom and she would only drive in the day time so we never noticed an issue. But now I’m driving it again.
The issues is at first is that light beam was to low but auto adjust did work or at least it did when I adjusted them up, about a week later the headlights are back down and I’m noticing the headlight isn’t moving up and down ( adjusting itself ) when i start the car. Most of the time , sometimes it works. I was told by a coworker it could be the sensor on the rear wheel of the car that is going bad or gone bad.
What’s your thoughts, change the sensor out? Could it be something else?
My coworker did also tell me that because struts on the car are completely shot, they could be a contributing issues to why the sensor is giving issue in the first place.
I have Megan coilovers on order so those will be changed asap. But it still leaves the headlight being low and auto leveling not working.
