P0087, need some help
So I have a 2013 IS250 awd and recently got the code p0087 come up randomly. I was driving fine one night and shut off my car for about 20-30 min and when I turned it back on cel was on and car wouldn’t rev past 2000 rpm.
I’ve looked it up and already replaced the fuel pressure sensor with no luck. Cleared the code after I replaced it and went out for a drive and was able to get to 3000rmp when the rpms start jumping and code comes back and same thing, can’t go past 2000rmp.
I’m thinking of replacing the in tank fuel pump and filter next but wanna get some opinions on if it could be anything else.
I live just outside of Toronto Ontario and during winters I don’t drive my car too often so that leads me to believe the fuel pump may have gone bad because of sitting for a week or 2 at a time without being driven.
Also if I were to to go ahead and replace the pump, just wondering if the Denso kit would work (part number 950-0107). Most reviews for this kit I’ve seen are from people with 1st gen IS or 2nd gen GS so don’t know if it’s an option.
