misfire codes with no misfire
SOLVED: ENGINE LIGHT WENT OFF BY ITSELF.guys check engine light came on about a week ago. yesterday i was going around a turn and the low oil light blinked then went off. i checked immediately, damn near bone dry. i JUST had it on for an oil change, so im thinking he didnt change the oil. but the car isnt misfiring and is running normal. what damage have i done, i cant help but think its related but maybe just a coincidence.

on these cars if you don't change the rubber gasket on the filter eventually it will bite you, been there done that. but the oil would be visable.the only time these cars have oil go "missing",in my experience, is when its really old. the guy i brought it too i believe never changed the oil. I should have checked when i got the car back, but i didn't. i will never make this mistake again. Im convinced the 2 are related, the random misfire and oil almost gone. ive never had a misfire code before. luckily, after a couple weeks, the check engine light went away yesterday. so problem solved i guess. thanks for at least the response. hopefully the damage was minimal. i find the "oil low warning " very inadequate...i mean it didnt warn me until it was damn near bone dry, and then only because i went around a corner real fast and got what little oil was left to one side!
